Zynodoa offers creatively prepared southern cuisine in a stylish, metropolitan atmosphere. Our menu changes frequently to reflect the imagination of our chef and provide excitement for our diners. Zynodoa is proud to support the region's farms and producers and we pledge to use the freshest ingredients seasonally available.

Zynodoa is located in the heart of downtown Staunton’s award-winning historic district, around the corner from the American Shakespeare Center and the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. Our kitchen is open until 11:30 pm, and we can easily accommodate pre and post theater diners. Dress is upscale casual, jackets not required. We hope you will join us.

The Legend of Zynodoa

Legend tells us that Zynodoa was an Indian brave known for his strength, courage, and appreciation of our valley’s bounty. In honor of his life, his people gave his name to the river, mountain, and valley which we now call Shenandoah.
